5 common questions answered
NHTSA recall information identifies fuel-injection concerns that may permit fuel to leak, creating a fire risk. It also identifies a master-cylinder issue that may leak brake fluid or reduce braking ability, a shift-lever switch issue that may allow unintended rollaway, and a brake concern that may cause loss of brake assist and longer stopping distances. These conditions can create serious safety consequences, even when a driver has not noticed a symptom. Waiting can leave an open defect unresolved. A prompt VIN check helps determine whether your Jetta needs a manufacturer remedy and provides a clear, reassuring next step.
